JESUS CHOSE TO COME

Christmas brings about reminders to the Love of God and the birth of His son Jesus for all mankind. Without Jesus there is no Christmas because He is the reason for the season, but you and I are the reason for His coming. From the time He chose to come to earth from heaven to be born of the virgin Mary, Jesus chose to be the sacrificial lamb for all mankind. He chose to be that precious lamb without spot or wrinkle, pure and unblemished, that was needed to redeem mankind from all their sins. Knowing God's plan of salvation and all He would need to suffer for our wholeness, He still chose to come. Aware that mankind would reject Him, persecute Him, and say all manner of evil against Him, He still chose to come. Aware that mankind would torture Him beyond measure as stripes ripped His back apart, He still chose to come. Knowing He would be mocked with a crown of thorns piercing into His head, He still chose to come. Knowing He would be publicly ridiculed and suffer death on the cross, He still chose to come!
Jesus Chose to Come! I cannot begin to fathom this kind of love, so unconditional and free, yet Jesus knew that without His ultimate sacrifice, we would be doomed forever...and so He came! His precious blood now atones for our sins through His amazing grace and salvation plan. "He left the splendor of Heaven, knowing His destiny; was the lonely hill of Golgatha, There to lay down His life for me. If that isn't love, the ocean is dry; There's no stars in the sky, and the sparrow can't fly; If that isn't love, then Heaven's a myth; There's no feeling like this, if that isn't love. Even in death He remembered, the thief hanging by His side; He spoke with love and compassion, then He took him to paradise. If that isn't love, the ocean is dry; There's no stars in the sky, and the sparrow can't fly; If that isn't love, then Heaven's a myth; There's no feeling like this, if that isn't love."
Jesus chose to be the supreme sacrifice needed to free mankind from sickness and disease, depression and oppression, and to pardon us from sins, now and forevermore! He chose to come so we could have Hope through Him and His works, not ours! He chose to come because of His great love for you and me and as we close out another year I pray you will choose God's love through His Son Jesus. I pray you will choose wisely and have a wonderfully blessed day because God loves you and so do I~~
