When will we fully realize that we are not God and that only He can change the impossible? Why do we keep worrying over situations we have no control over (as if we really do have control)? Why do we constantly have to remind our self that only God can work things out best, because He can see what is ahead and not just what we see before our very eyes. He alone is God and we are not! So why do we worry? Why do we allow worry to steal our joy?
Jesus said He came that we would have life and have it more abundantly(John 10:10). If we allow our minds to worry over things we cannot change, we are living beneath our means. There is a prayer I learned early in life called the Serenity Prayer which goes:
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardships as the pathway to peace, as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen!"
We pray this prayer after every Celebrate Recovery meeting that reassures our minds that it is in Christ Jesus that we are reborn, recreated, delivered and restored for His service. Celebrate Recovery is wonderful for every believer, not just those addicted to drugs, alcohol, bad habits or circumstances that arise from bad choices. Many of us have faced situations and devastating losses throughout our lives that have left us hiding behind masks that overshadow those hurts, hiding feelings of grief or anger that have left us destitute and hopeless, trying to be all things to all people instead of showing that we are hurting and dying inside; but in Christ Jesus there is liberty for all who choose to believe and receive His forgiveness and life changing freedom.
It is in Christ Jesus that we find solace with true deliverance for all time sake from every sin, from every affliction, from every hurt, from every hang-up, from every loss, from every physical abuse, from every verbal abuse, and from any thing that would otherwise keep us from living that life of abundance in Christ Jesus! Our deliverance was bought and paid for "IN FULL" by the supreme sacrifice of one man's life, JESUS Christ, Son of Our Living God.
Jesus chose to come and surrender His life of His own accord for all mankind to be delivered from sin and bondage, once and for all. The only thing left for mankind to do is to believe and receive Him into our lives as Lord and Savior, allowing His blood to cleanse us from all our past and deliver freedom and liberty forevermore.
So why should we worry when worry gets us no where, when casting our cares upon Jesus delivers and sets us free? He doesn't want us to worry about the 'what if's, or the 'if I had of's, that seem to weigh us down with the cares of life. He wants us to fully trust in Him; in His will, His ways, and His timing. In fully trusting Him, we allow Him to perfect everything that is needed for us to have the BEST life possible, while living free from all guilt or shame. He wants us to enjoy this life He has given, one day at a time!
As you go about your day, I pray you will cast all your cares upon Him because He truly cares about every little thing you encounter moment to moment, day by day. When you finally release all your worries and allow Him to take care of your needs, you can begin to enjoy that blissful life with freedom we all seek!
Have a wonderfully blessed day, dear friends. God loves you and so do I~~~
