"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you." Phil 4:8,9 NKJV.
Today the world is running rampant with violence and crime; death is all around us; devastation seen on every hand, and unless we set our mind on things above instead of what we see and hear; we can easily be drawn into a negative realm of thinking and become caught up in wrong doing. Learning to guard our mind and filling our thoughts with positive thinking is a must to overcome life's struggles. Oftentimes, closing our eyes to what we see and hear naturally and focusing our thoughts on those things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely and what God says about us is the means to our survival and remaining positive through it all.
2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us,"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." Setting before us the undeniable truth of who we are in Christ Jesus, and allowing Holy Spirit to work the work needed within us, keeps our mind and thoughts filled with positive vibes and the reality that in Him, we are a brand new creation, the Redeemed of the Lord, Blessed and Highly Favored, and more than over-comers through Him who strengthens us.
Let this this mind be in you as it is in Christ Jesus that you humble yourself and remain peaceful without murmurings and disputing and without violence, so you can live a peaceful life worthy of the calling of Christ Jesus in all manner of saying and deed.
"I pray that out of His glorious riches, He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God" (Eph 3:16-19 NIV). Be anxious for nothing, but "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you"(1 Pet 5:7, NIV).
I pray these truths fill your thoughts with peace for today; peace that brings hope in the reality that God has good plans for your life as He declares in Jeremiah. 29:11, "I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." So no matter what's going on around us today, let's keep our minds stayed on Him and His plans for us, and we will over come through it all. God loves you beyond measure and He loves you unconditionally, so breathe in His Love and enjoy a wonderfully blessed day. God loves you and so do I~~~
