"Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know" Jeremiah 33:3. Never has there been a time needing us to call on the Lord greater than now. God wants to be part of our lives and show us things to come and things we have no knowledge of. But He's having a difficult time showing us these things because we don't seem to find the time to really listen to Him after we've prayed. One can pray all day long, but making the time to listen to Him is where the communication is failing. To truly have a conversation with God, requires listening to what He has to say, instead of just offering up our petitions and leaving.
How would you feel if you were there all the time for your child and all they wanted to do was tell you what they wanted and then get up and leave without giving you a chance to return your voice and thoughts in the conversation? It wouldn't be good, would it? God always makes time for us and is readily available to meet our every need. He is never too busy to listen or to hear us calling out to Him. He is never out of range and has all the time in the world to talk; if only we give Him the chance. Since He wants only the best for us and has always given us His best, why can't we designate time to spend alone with Him in a loving relationship; child to Father? Which had you rather have; a simple prayer offered up to God- or a loving relationship, talking and sharing thoughts one on one with God?
God declares in Isaiah 55:8,9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," saith the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." And His Word declares in Jeremiah 29:11 that God wants only the Best for our future, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." It's when we don't take time to really listen to Him trying to guide us and we get impatient and try to handle things on our own, that we cause negative things to occur in our lives. The bad that comes from it all is not caused by God, but from our own impatience!
But it's funny how that even then, God still wants to love on us.
God's ways are above and beyond all we could ever imagine and He loves us so much that even when we make messes out of our lives from impatience; He will still take that mess and turn it around for our good. It's when we finally stop interfering and give Him a chance to work things out that our mess will become a message and our tests become a testimony. That's when Romans 8:28 comes to fruition, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." God is always with us; working on our behalf in whatever situation we are in, trying to guide and help us through each and every trial we encounter along life's way; if only we will take time to hear His voice!
So whatever you may be encountering in your life today just call out to God; then STOP and LISTEN to what He has to say and allow Him to work things out in His timing, His will, and His perfect way. Call Him up and talk with Him until you can feel Him stirring deep within you. He's waiting eagerly and longing for you to call. It doesn't matter what your need is, He cares. Doesn't matter if you think it's too big or too small. Truth is that If it matters to you, then it matters to Him.
There is such peace that comes from knowing God is in control of every thing that pertains to your life and godliness. Peace that comforts and heals; Peace that delivers such freedom from all that would otherwise bind you; and Peace in knowing you are His child and He cares beyond measure for you with a love so pure and unconditional.
I pray you come to enjoy the fullness of His peace today and be blessed, dear friends. God loves you and so do I~~~
