"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation; that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness instead of light; because their deeds were evil."(John 3:16-19).
"He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him. He was despised and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God and afflicted; But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed"(Isaiah 53:3-5).
And it was for you and me that He came. and endured it all, so we could be set Free from it all: all sin, all distress, all sickness, all disease, all things that try to bind us; He endured it all so we didn't have to. What a Mighty, Loving, Caring Saviour He is; So grateful that He would suffer all that pain and torture and then to Lay Down His Life for me and you! What a Mighty God we serve! What a Loving Mighty Saviour in our Lord Jesus!
As we honor Jesus in remembrance of this Holy Week, may we gain a fresh revelation and love for our Lord Jesus and show Him our depth of gratitude for all He was willing to endure so you and I could be free to live a life abundantly blessed in Him. I pray God blesses you through this week as you acknowledge Him in all you say and do; because God loves you and so do I~~~
