So many events surround us in our world today; some good, some bad, some we just don't understand, and yet we are given this season in time to enjoy the Now because this very moment will never come again. Jesus encouraged us throughout His ministry on earth to live in now and not to worry about yesterday that is already past, nor tomorrow that may never come. He encourages us to live in the Now, to enjoy this very moment now, because no matter what we may go through, God already knows about it and will give peace beyond measure, even in the midst of our storm, as we place our trust in Him. Life is a journey filled with seasons forever changing so we must learn to live in the now with His unshakable peace.
In Christ Jesus and Him alone, we can experience unshakable peace and declare as David did in Psalm 16:8,“I will not be shaken!” God knows all there is to know about us and He knows what we are going through right now and promises peace to the believer in Christ Jesus. But that Peace can be difficult to obtain in our natural realm, mainly because our unsettled nature tries to cling to what He gives to bless our lives; so when the due season comes that we must part, we fight to hold on to what we think is rightfully ours. Our natural thinking makes it difficult to grasp hold of the reality that every thing on this earth was created by and for Almighty God and His purposes, and that every thing created has its due season. In our natural mindset we cannot understand that our families, our cherished loved ones, and all we have acquired are not ours, but God's! They are only loaned to us for a season.
We are reminded of this as Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 declares: "To every thing there is a season; a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck what is planted; a time to kill and a time to heal; a time to break down and a time to build up; a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to gain and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to throw away; a time to tear and a time to sew; a time to keep silence and a time to speak; a time to love and a time to hate; a time to war and a time of peace."
So as the circle of life goes on, we will behold seasons come and go and while some are easily adaptable, others take more effort to get beyond. As we naturally become attached to our families the loss of a loved one brings about unbearable grief that can rob us of our joy and peace. God promises to be there to carry us through those seasons and breathe sweet peace into our soul as we realize they were only loaned to us for a season and were called back home with Father God until that due season when we meet again never more to part.
We are encouraged time and time again throughout God's Word to not put our trust in temporal things that will fade away, but to lay up our treasures in spiritual things that never fade away. There is an old saying that goes, "Only one life, 'twill soon be past; only what's done for Christ will last" and this should be our mindset. Having our minds set on things above(Colossians 3:2), we are no longer
consumed by cares of this world that bring about fears, anxiety, greed, and insecurities; but in Christ Jesus our minds are saturated with the peace of God that empowers us to spread Hope in the here and Now.
As we acknowledge the Lord daily and trust Him to guide us in every situation
as Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages; we find the key to enjoying the Now in due season. God has a plan for each of our lives as noted in Jeremiah 29:11,"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for good and not for evil, plans to give you hope and a future." Our hesitancy to submit to God's will often causes
delays in what should be a due season, profitable for our well being. And since He wants only the Best for us, His children, learning to Hear His voice, submitting to His will, and trusting Him despite our natural thinking, is a must to enjoy the Now in our due seasons of life.
I pray that Now the peace of God be with you all, and in you all, as you put your trust in Him, Amen! Enjoy a wonderfully blessed season in your life because God loves you and so do I~~~
