In The Power Of His Might

Many times we are overtaken in our weaknesses as we realize we don't have the power or strength needed to win the battle at hand, but just as the angel told Zechariah in 4:6 that Zerubbabel would triumph 'Not by might nor by power, but by God's Spirit,' the same holds true with us today.

In our strength and in our power we are truly inadequate to face the battles of today but the Word declares we are made more than conquerors in Him that loves us (Rom 8:37). Coming to know that Holy Spirit abides within us, empowering us to become 'MORE than overcomers' allows us to rest in His ability instead of our own, so we come out victorious over every battle along our way.
Our God is truly an Awesome God who is continually working within us, so as you go through your day, remember that "It's not by your might, nor by your power, but by His Spirit" that you walk by faith believing that ALL things are possible through Christ Jesus to all who believe; and have a wonderfully blessed day, dear friends. God loves you and so do I~~~

Choosing Wisely

Oh that man would choose wisely in these latter days.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, sent down from our Heavenly Father to bring Salvation and Healing to a world full of lost sinners; and we beheld His glory, full of grace and truth. He walked and talked among us; teaching and healing the sick, the blind, and the deaf, casting out demons, raising the dead, turning water into wine; and still we did not know who He really was. His very own disciple, Judas, betrayed Him for a mere 30 pieces of silver and when he led the soldiers to the garden to arrest Him, he greeted Him with a kiss on the cheek and turned Him over to be abused and persecuted, tortured above all men, and die a horrible death on the cross.
The Son of God suffered horribly at the hands of the soldiers and when they mockingly paraded Him before us; bleeding and horribly defaced, clad in a robe with a crown of thorns upon His bleeding head; we were given the choice between 'He who had done no wrong', or the murdering thief to be set free; and we chose the murdering thief to go free. We, the people, chose a vile cruel sinner who repeatedly robbed and killed and did nothing but evil to mankind to be set free, rather than the man sent from God 'Who knew no sin', but only Loved mankind with all His heart.
Today, the choice is still ours. Will we choose the man who admits he is not perfect in all his ways, but who has chosen to put God back into the lives of our schools and governing offices and who proclaims Jesus as Lord and Savior; or will we choose to stand with the man who murders innocent babies and chose a running mate who denies God and the righteousness of mankind in Christ Jesus.
In less than 2 weeks America goes to the polls to make our choice known on election day so we must be in prayer and supplication towards those running for office and search our hearts and minds so we hear what God says. His Word does Not change for any one or any group of people but is forevermore true, infallible and stands firm! We must not be deceived by those who speak lies and allow evil works to continue while attempting to guide others falsely, so we must pray and obtain wisdom in all our ways!
Allow God's Word to guide you in all your ways! As Holy Spirit leads you, choose wisely and place your vote knowing that You are held accountable for your actions; so vote your conscience as would be pleasing unto God the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and place those in office as would be pleasing unto Him. Your choice does make a difference; and with each choice you make, you choose to proudly lift high the name of Jesus or reject Him and suffer the consequences. I pray you will choose wisely dear friend because God loves you and so do I~~~

Walking In His Power

Psalms 27:33 tells us, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way." Everything that comes your way today can be a God-opportunity as you acknowledge Him in all your ways (Proverbs 3:5-7) "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." So don't go blindly through today but keep a look out for His guidance in the midst of it all. You never know when unplanned interruptions will produce a "work of God".

As witnesses of His Divine Glory, we walk in His footsteps along the pathway of righteousness, having been cleansed by His Sanctifying Blood and Redeemed by His Marvelous Grace. As witnesses, He sends us forth to minister to the world, empowered by Holy Spirit; to preach the gospel to the poor, to bring hope to the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, to heal the sick and afflicted, and to set at liberty those who are bound by sin and oppression (Luke 4:18). It is God's desire that everyone come to know Him and receive the Gift of Salvation and Eternal Life in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!
Whatever God has done in the past for one, He will do the same for you and me because He is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). God is our Strength and our Source. He supplies the Knowledge and Power needed for us to act on His Word. All that we need, He Is. (Acts 1:8) "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." You have this *Power* working on the inside of you, empowering you; enabling you to be more than conquerors! You have the Power of Almighty God strengthening, equipping and enabling you to do ALL things through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:13).
His Power is an extension of His Word working through you to accomplish His plan in this world. As followers of Christ Jesus, we are His hands reaching out to a lost and hurting world, His voice sharing love and encouragement, and His comforting hug that someone needs to feel today. We can make a difference in this world one soul at a time. We can share His Word and be that light for Jesus so others will follow because His Word will never return unto Him void, but will accomplish every thing It says It will do, for His Glory Sake!
So let's choose to walk in His footsteps today while delighting in God's way. Let's look for those opportunities to spread hope to that certain someone searching for spiritual guidance, someone needing a hug, or someone needing peace of mind. We can make a difference in this world if we acknowledge Him in all our ways. We can make this day the best it can be if we follow in His footsteps! I pray you have a blessed day, dear friends, because God loves you and so do I~~~

Unanswered Prayers

Ever wonder why some prayers are answered quickly, while others seem to take far too long for God to answer? Ever thought God didn't hear you the first time so you repeat your request time and time again; but still get no response? Ever search through the Word for a scripture to bring before the throne so you can convince God to answer your request the same way the Word declares?

I wonder how often God shakes His head at us with Fatherly love as we try to convince Him why He should do this or that; how He must chuckle sometimes as we try to nudge Him or offer up ways He could fix a given situation if only He would do it our way. And knowing His perfect plan for our life, don't ya know He probably thinks, "Oh my precious Child, if only you knew what I know, you would understand." God must have a sense of humor or where else would we get our weird traits from. He created us in His own likeness and since Jesus walked the earth, lived among us, and was tempted as we are, He knows what leads us to think the way we do. Thank you, Jesus!
In Isaiah 55:8-9 God tells us that His thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are our ways His ways; that as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways and thoughts higher than ours; so why do we try to tell Him how to do His business, or try to manipulate Him to do things our way? Why? because we are humans and He is Almighty God, we are the created and He is the Creator with a love for us far beyond anything we can ever conceive!
We read throughout scripture how God is a jealous god who shares His praise with no one: certainly not doctors, not treatments, not therapy, not by laying on of hands by 'distinguished individuals', not anyone; Only to God rightfully belongs all praise, glory and honor. But more often than not, we somehow get the notion that we know more about our own body and family and want things done like we think; and without realizing, we have dared to interfere with God's perfect plan in all that is going on.
God watches over us, His creations, to guard and keep us in all our ways(Psalm 91:11); but as life would have it, often we go our own way until we require a sense of brokenness so He can recreate us to be the very best we can be; and no one likes to go through brokenness; not even our Lord Jesus. Remember how Jesus prayed to the Father in the garden; "Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done."Luke 22:42niv.
Having the mind of Christ, being submissive to the Father's will, or being the created telling the Creator what to do and how it should be done, is the choice we all have to make. Trusting God with full confidence that He has heard our requests and that in His own way and in His perfect timing He will meet our need in the best way for all concerned is an ongoing lesson for all of us.
So as we learn to trust His wisdom and guidance, we learn that in our weakness He is made strong and walks beside us, step by step, hand in hand; assuring our future as declared in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." So when our answer to prayer is delayed, let's trust that He is working All things for good as we wait upon Him to accomplish all that is needed in times like these. And according to His Word and in His perfect timing He will bring us to that perfect state in Christ Jesus as we trust and not grow weary! Have a blessed day, dear friend. God loves you and so do I~~~

Willing Vessels

As the Spirit of God hovers over America, searching for willing vessels He can use, I wonder how many people will surrender to God's will and allow Him to touch others through them today; whether by words of inspiration and encouragement spoken, or a gentle touch or a caring hug, or by helping someone in financial need, by offering a labor of love to accomplish a task needing completion, or a simple prayer whispered to God above to help in times of need.

A willing vessel is all God needs to accomplish many needs in our world today, and all we have to do is to purposely listen for His direction. You could be the answer to someone feeling hopeless and in need of an answer today- not tomorrow or next week- but who needs to be shown today that God really cares and is using His followers to meet their need. Someone's life could be hanging in the balance and you could be that one little act of kindness that can turn their life around.
So I pray that as you go through this day, you will purposely look for ways to extend a helping hand or to offer an act of kindness along your way. You and I can make a difference in this world just by purposely being kind one to another, tender heartedly forgiving one another, even as God in Christ, has forgiven us; as Paul taught in Ephesians 4:32. Let's go out and have a rewarding day for the kingdom of God and be all we can be for His glory sake! Have a wonderfully blessed day, dear friends, God loves you and so do I~~~

His Unfailing Love

Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love. I praise You that Your mercies are new every morning and no matter what may come my way, I am assured You never leave me or forsake me, but give me strength, comfort, and peace as I walk hand in hand with You through it all!

When storms of life come against me, I position myself in Your protective hands, knowing You will keep me safe as the storm passes over. Even when the fiercest storms of life come my way, You always remain faithful and strong to deliver me because there is Nothing too difficult for You!
As the words of the psalmist, filled with confidence and hope writes, “He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed” (Psalm 107:29), and I know I can trust You Lord, to bring me peace and reduce the worst of storms to a mere whisper. The faithful provision and sustaining comfort of God at work in my life simply requires my willingness to trust in Him, in His time, and in His ways; All I ever need, He Is!
God promises in Isaiah 41:10, So do not fear for I am with you; do not be discouraged for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." And I know that If God said it, He will do it; And Who is sitting at God's victorious right hand but the Son of God; my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! He is our Strong Deliver, Our Redeemer!
As God promised, He will do. His Word will never return to Him void, but will accomplish Everything It says He will do! We just have to get the Word within us so we can rest in His promises, in His ability and not ours, to deliver us! No matter what storm you are facing, there is nothing bigger than Lord God inside you! We are made more than over comers in Christ Jesus! So relax and enjoy this day He has given! God loves you and so do I~~~

A Most Precious Gift From Above

His name is "HOLY SPIRIT" third person of the Trinity Godhead, all three in One; Helper, Comforter, Teacher, Friend, and so much more! All that we will ever need, He is!

Knowing the time was nearing for Him to ascend back to His Father, Jesus taught His followers about Holy Spirit He would send back to abide within them as noted in John 14:26, "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name; He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."
He continued to teach as noted in John 15:16-17, "And I will pray the Father and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever; the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him for He dwells with you and will be in you" and again in John 16:7, "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you."
Repeatedly Jesus tried to prepare His followers that He needed to ascend back to the Father but would not leave them comfortless; He was sending Holy Spirit to lead and guide them into all truths; and Holy Spirit would be inside them bringing all things to mind while empowering them to become more than over comers in all things pertaining to Godliness.
He knew we (His followers) needed someone continuously to walk with, someone to talk with, and someone to guide us in all truth and only Holy Spirit could do all that and so much more, because He was going to the Father where He would be interceding on our behalf.
We, as His followers, also need reassurance that He is with us wherever we go and in whatever we are doing and Holy Spirit strengthens when we are weak and comforts when we are sad. He is our comforter; guides and brings peace when we are troubled, and as we come to really now Him, He becomes our closest and dearest friend.
Holy Spirit, commonly known as the third party of the Godhead; God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit; is in no way the lesser. None is the greater nor the lesser, there is never One without the other, and will never work against the other; all three make up the Trinity Godhead and bring glory as ONE Almighty God!
We are all spirits in human bodies and It is Holy Spirit that draws us to Jesus. As we repent and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, Holy Spirit becomes the power we need to walk the pathway of righteousness. Jesus knew and taught that it was vitally important (of the utmost importance) to have Holy Spirit dwelling within us so He could be our Comforter, our Adviser, our Guide, and Helper and the more we come to know Him, He becomes our dearest Friend. He never leaves nor forsakes us but is a most precious gift Who walks and talks with us forevermore.
So often in life we receive gifts but if left unopened we never know what was given. Open up this precious gift Jesus sent from Above and come to know Holy Spirit by walking and talking with Him throughout your day. There is no greater joy, no greater peace, no greater power than feeling Holy Spirit within, guiding you and reminding you that you are never alone.
I find it so amazing that God created this world and all herein and even provided all that was necessary for each of us to walk through this life empowered with His strength and wisdom, if only we come to acknowledge and know Him as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit! This is the day the Lord has made; let's rejoice and be glad in it! Enjoy His many blessings, dear friend; God loves you and so do I~~~
