Comforted By His Peace

"When peace like a river attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll; Whatever my lot thou hast taught me to say, It is well, It is well with my soul. It is well with my soul; It is well, it is well with my soul. Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, Let this blessed assurance control, That Christ has regarded my helpless estate, And hath shed His own blood for my soul. My sin, oh the bliss of this glorious thought; My sin not in part but the whole, Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Oh my soul. It is well with my soul; It is well, it is well with my soul"
I cannot begin to explain how wonderful it is to lie down to rest or to awaken in the morning with calm assurance that whatever may come my way, it is well with my soul! Even as my body rests, my soul quietly rejoices as this song floods through my mind bringing a calm assurance within me! Just to rest in His comforting arms and feel Holy Spirit whispering from deep within brings such peace, such comfort, and such assurance like nothing this world has to offer! There is no greater peace than the Love of God saturating your entire being!
So today I pray that whatever may come your way, You too can feel His calm assurance allowing your soul to sing forth from the depths of your soul, "It is well, It is well with my soul."
Enjoy this wonderfully blessed day knowing that God loves you and so do I~~~

Battling the Storms

Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love. I praise You for Your fresh mercies that are new to us every morning. No matter what has come our way, I know beyond a doubt that You are right there with us; never leaving nor forsaking us. You whisper Sweet Peace as Your Love embellishes our very being. When the storms of life seem to overwhelm us, You are there to pick us back up and cradle us in Your comforting arms until our storm has passed. Even during the fiercest storms in our life You remain forever faithful as our Protector and our good good Father!
The words of the psalmist David are filled with confidence and hope as he prophetically wrote, “He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed”(Psalm 107:29) and we see it fulfilled as Jesus calms the sea in Matthew 8:23-27. Think about that for a moment; "Jesus stills the storm to a whisper and the waves of the sea were hushed... just by speaking "Peace, Be Still!" Can you fathom that very moment?... Jesus calming the storm.... Such Peace, Such Calm, Such Amazement in the disciples eyes; WOW! That had to be awesome to witness first hand; Jesus Speaks...And the storm is Hushed!
Many of us have been experiencing life's storms that have tried to pull us under as tidal waves continued to bash upon us mentally and physically, until we cried out to God......And then we saw His Hand move or His voice hush the storm in a miraculous move of divine interventions! God was right there to deliver and hold us up with His victorious and righteous right hand(Isaiah 41:10). God, in all His glory, is there with us through stormy weather speaking peace to our troubled soul. The calmness of His peace overshadows doubt and fear and instills peace like nothing we could ever imagine possible ... "Peace, Be Still" and all is calm when the Master speaks!
Don't hesitate to call upon Him, anytime-anywhere, in any given situation, because It is His desire to Father us and protect us as only He does best. The storms of life will surely attempt to surround us, but we have His assurance that when they rise up around us, He will be there to carry us through! So as storms roll in and its tides begin pulling you under, just reach up and grab hold of His hand, dear friend! HOLD ON to God's unchanging hand; He won't let go! Trust God, Rest in Him, and Watch as He calms your storm and speaks forth His Peace. Enjoy a wonderfully blessed day, dear friend. God loves you and so do I~~~

Golden Tidbits

Sharing a few golden tidbits that make my life so much better starting with Psalms 37:23, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and He delighteth in his way." Remember this as you start your day and enjoy as you "Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6.
Instead of going blind-sighted throughout your day; keep your eyes open for God's move in the midst of your encounters. You never know when an opportunity will produce a mighty work of God. Many times that closed door opens up one that leads us into a brighter and more prosperous future He planned for our life. Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Stop rushing things; Learn to relax and allow God to move; Everything done for our good is in God's time and in His perfect plan. "As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my Word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:10-11.
So today, let's delight in the Lord and in the goodness of His mercy. Let's Acknowledge Him, Trust in Him, Believe in Him, Wait on Him, and Rest in Him who is Forever Faithful. Have a wonderfully blessed day, dear friend, knowing that God loves you and so do I~~~

Learning To Stand Still

"The Father has a plan. Though it's hard to see it now, You feel you're walking all alone. But He is there no doubt, When the storm around you rages, And you're tossed to and fro, When you're faced with life's decisions, Not sure which way to go; Stand still and let God move, Standing still is hard to do, When you feel you have reached the end, He'll make a way for you, Stand still and let God move.
When the enemy surrounds you, And the walls are closing in. When the tide is swiftly rising, And you wonder where He's been; Friend there never was a moment, That His arms weren't reaching out, You can rest assured and be secure, God is moving right now; Stand still and let God move, Standing still is hard to do, When you feel you have reached the end, He'll make a way for you, Stand still and let God move; The answer will come, But only in His time; Stand still and let God move, Stand still and let God move."
These lyrics by The Isaacs is exactly what we need to relax and trust in God's divine love. Standing still is one the hardest things to do when life is not going as we planned; but it's the only reasonable thing to do when we truly want God to lead and direct our pathway. So even tho' life may not be as we feel it should today, let's trust God's perfect plan and His perfect timing to work out life's unexpected along our way. Let's enjoy this new year learning to relax and trust God's divine timing for our lives in all our ways.
So go ahead and pour yourself a cup of hot coffee and make time to wrap up snugly in His loving arms with the assurance that whatever comes your way today, God's already got it and is working out only the Best for your life. Enjoy a wonderfully blessed day, dear friend. God loves you and so do I~~~

TO GROW AND NOURISH

"As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:10,11 (NIV).
Every change in our life is meant to help us grow and nourish as we acknowledge the Lord and walk in His pathway. Learning to trust in God's Word brings a surety that He is in full control and will meet our needs in the best way and best time for our good. What He says in His Word, He will do as we lean on Him, trust in Him, believe in Him, and rest securely in our God who is forever faithful. God loves you and so do I~~~

Delivered from Widowhood

Today I celebrate my 52nd wedding anniversary with my childhood sweetheart, my soulmate, and the love of my life. Although Larry finished his journey on earth ahead of me, the love we shared remains embedded deep within my heart, and I won't kid you; it's been extremely difficult "getting on with life" as so many friends told me in their attempt to help, but until you go through coping with the death of the love of your life and you suffer true heartbreak, you can never understand a widow's grief.
For way too many years after Larry passed I was lost in a sea of despair and hated to see holidays, our anniversary, and his birthday come, until out of desperation, I had a 'come to Jesus meeting' when I seemed to curl up in the Lord's loving arms and let my tears spill out as He comforted and soothed away my heartbreak while helping me realize that because Jesus lives within both Larry and me, we have the hope of uniting again when my time on earth ends and we will be together with our Lord and Savior forevermore.
I was finally delivered from the debilitating sorrows of my past and introduced to a new life and future created in Christ Jesus just for me.
Knowing God has a plan designed for each of us as declared in Jeremiah 29:11, I try to acknowledge Him as encouraged in Proverbs 3:5-6 so He directs my path; and as I walk with Him day by day, I am never alone. So I keep the love Larry and I shared deeply embedded within my heart as warm memories replace the tears and I keep the promises of our Lord in front of my eyes, knowing that He makes all things work together for my good and no matter what life throws at me, Jesus has it covered already in the palm of His hands.
So today I celebrate our anniversary and the fullness and joys in life it has brought; and I am thankful for all the family and friends God has bestowed unto me with the knowing that "I Am Loved" and so dearly blessed; so I pray blessings to all of you dear friends. Never forget that God loves you and so do I~~~

Bringing honor to our Lord Jesus Christ

As our Christmas celebrations have come to a close, the 12 days of Christmas (otherwise know as the Epiphany, representing the time between the birth of Christ and the Magi following the bright star to honor Him with gifts and their praise) continues through the 6th, and even when it's completed, I pray we never lose the excitement to bring Jesus the honor and our highest praise with gifts He places within our life.
God Loves unconditionally so let us love others in the same manner. Having received His Salvation freely, may we share this Hope in Christ Jesus with others freely as Jesus taught in Matthew 10:8. Our Heavenly Father loves to shower His children with loving kindness and blessings far beyond our highest imaginations. We never walk alone when we walk with God. Be blessed, dear friend, God loves you and so do I~~~

Out with the old, in with the new

Well, our New Year 2020 has arrived and 'auld lang syne' has been sung, the festivities from Thanksgiving to Christmas and welcoming the new year are over so we say goodbye to those things behind us as we prepare goals for a prosperous and happy new year. What will your goals be?.... to loose a few pounds, stress a little less, work less/enjoy life more, to be more accepting of others and less judgmental? Whatever you resolve to do, may you run your race in a manner worthy of our Lord Jesus so the words of your mouth and the meditation upon your heart is acceptable to Him in all things.
The Spirit impressed upon Paul in Hebrews 12:1(AMP), the necessity to "lay aside all weights that bind or distract him [to strip off all those things that tend to slow him down], along with the sins [whatever it is that easily trips him up and causes him to stumble] so he could run with endurance the race God has set before him" and today we are encouraged to do the same; to lay aside those things from our past that try to bind us and keep us from moving forward; we can learn from our past but refuse to allow it to weigh us down; as we persevere running our race.
Jesus knew the course He had to run for our deliverance and never lost sight of where He was headed. By keeping His eyes fixed on the prize awaiting His finish, He was determined to put up with anything along His way: the lies, the scandal, the persecutions, the shame, the torture, the Cross; what ever came His way He never lost sight of the goal set before Him. Day by day He drew strength from His early morning talks with His Father, just as you and I are encouraged to continue today.
Each new morning we are given fresh mercies to run our race. We don't need to save from yesterday or borrow from tomorrow; because old things are passed away and all things become new as He gives fresh mercies day by day. He encourages us that when we begin to feel our journey is too rough, to keep our eyes fixed on Him and look at every little thing He endured along His way to declare from His cross, "It Is Finished!" By keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus as our example, and staying focused so we can see where we are headed, we will finish our course and oh, what a prized welcome it will be when we hear Him say,"Well done, good and faithful servant."
He finished His course and now sits in the place of honor at the right hand of the Father, cheering you and me on through our daily race, and He knows we can make it if we just don't quit!
So whatever baggage we need to lay down to finish our race, let's throw it off and stay focused on that finish line, knowing that Jesus will be there to award our prize, Eternal life with Him for all eternity!
Have a wonderfully blessed new year, dear friend, knowing God loves you and so do I~~~.

Shaped by the past

Thankful for my past; the good, the bad, and the ugly because it has shaped my life into who I am today; and as I look forward to what God has planned for my future, I live this day in each moment; knowing He has me covered in the palm of His hands and is walking beside me along life's pathway.
During my devotion time this morning while reading from the NKJV and the NIV, I also read from the Amplified Bible which seemed to express in great detail these passages found in Psalm 37:23,"The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord, And He delights in his way [and blesses his path]; and Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in [and rely confidently on] the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding; In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]."
So my only new year's resolution for 2020 is to acknowledge the Lord in all my ways and recognize that He is the Ultimate Authority over all things pertaining to my life; and I will rejoice and be happy in Him. May you be blessed this year as you proclaim Jesus Lord over all your ways as well, because God loves you and so do I~~~

LIFE CHANGES

"As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."
