His Strength is Perfect

These words from Cece Winans song are for you and me today: " His strength is perfect when our strength is gone, He'll carry us when we can't carry on; raised in His power, the weak become strong, His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength, But sometimes I wonder what He can do for me; No great success to show, No glory of my own; yet in my weakness He is there to let me know: His strength is perfect when our strength is gone; He'll carry us when we can't carry on; Raised in His power the weak becomes strong; His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect. We can only know the power that He holds; When we truly see how deep our weakness goes. His strength it must begin, When ours comes to an end; He hears our humble cry and proves again. His strength is perfect when our strength is gone; He'll carry us when we can't carry on; Raised in His power the weak become strong, His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect."
I was awakened with these words going over and over in my mind and knew they had to be shared so I pray you will take them to heart today and remember that it is through Christ and Him alone that we find strength to do ALL those difficult things in our life.(Philippians 4:13). Circumstances may change; they may come and go; but the one sure constant in our life is the fact that God never changes. He's the same today as He was yesterday, and as He was in the days of old, and will be the same tomorrow(Heb 13:8). He changes not and is no respecter of persons(Acts 10:34). What He did for someone yesterday and in days of old, He will do the same for you and me today.
God loves you so much that He gave His most cherished and beloved Son for you to be free; not only from sin; but from all those things in life that try to oppress you, that try to bind you, and that try to make you think you can't do whatever is needed to live a happy successful life in Him. He wants you to know that in your own power, in your own strength, it will be impossible; BUT GOD..... God has already made provision for you through His Son Jesus for your TOTAL DELIVERANCE! Freedom from ALL those things that attempt to weigh you down and bind you.
Stop listening to those negative thoughts in your head and replace them with HIS WORD: HIS WORD IS LIFE AND HEALTH TO YOUR BODY(Proverbs 4:20); mind, soul, and body! So before you begin any thing today, take time to talk to God about it and then allow Him to guide you and do whatever is needed to deliver you and set you free from your bondage today. And when you've done all you know to do, Stand! Stand on HIS WORD, not man's word; because His Word will never fail you, and then Relax in His strength!
Allow Him to Walk beside you as you journey today. Allow Him to Carry you when you're too weak to walk any further. Allow Him to Hold you up when you're too weak to stand! And when those negative thoughts reappear, quickly defeat them with the Word of God. Jesus answered the temptations of satan in the wilderness with the Word, because the Word once spoken is Life, and Health, and Healing in every area of our life.
Dear friend, We are more than conquerors through Him(Romans 8:37) Who loves us more than life itself. We cannot be defeated with God on our side. Trust Him to work the work that is needed in your life today. Jesus is the Word!.... He is the Light to guide our way! He is Life!.... and He is All we need to make it today and every day hereafter. Be blessed and know that God loves you and so do I~~~

Stand Still

In the midst of the storms in our life, He is there! In the midst of war and strife, He is there! In the midst of every thing that affects us and our families, He is there! In the midst of sickness and disease, He is there! God is right there beside, fighting for us, working within us, to deliver us from any thing that attempts to hinder us from being that victorious individual He created us to be. Nothing is too big that our God cannot handle! Nothing is too difficult that He cannot conquer! Be encouraged by these inspiring words in the song "Stand Still"  by The Isaac's:
"The Father has a plan though it's hard to see it now; You feel you're walking all alone but He is there no doubt; When the storm around you rages, and you're tossed to and fro; When you're faced with life's decisions, not sure which way to go; Stand still and let God move, Standing still is hard to do; When you feel you have reached the end, He'll make a way for you; Stand still and let God move. When the enemy surrounds you, and the walls are closing in; When the tide is swiftly rising, and you wonder where He's been; Friend, there never was a moment that His arms weren't reaching out; You can rest assured and be secure, God is moving right now; Stand still and let God move; Standing still is hard to do: When you feel you have reached the end He'll make a way for you; Stand still, and let God move; Stand still, and let God move. The answer will come, but only in His time; Stand still and let God move, Stand still and let God move!"
Dear friend, I pray that whatever you may face today, that you know beyond a doubt you are not alone. God is right there beside you, working within you to guide and to strengthen you, making you victorious over ALL things in your life. Rest assured that before anything happens today or any time, God already knows about it and has already conquered it on your behalf. You just have to trust Him and His wisdom in these matters. With man, it may seem impossible; but with God, ALL things are possible to those who believe and allow Him to deliver, to protect, and to guide them along life's journey.
Have a blessed day, dear friends. God loves you and so do I~~~

Peace! What a Wonderful Word!

Peace, What a wonderful Word! Peace in any definition is totally awesome; and we hear the word, peace, from people of every social standing; who use it loosely in so many ways throughout their day. But how do you perceive peace? Do you use it to describe your mood or surroundings? Do you use it to describe its need for the world in turmoil and wars? Do you use it to describe the environment you desire in your home? In your office? Within your own life? Or do you use it to describe its need in all of these?
Peace, generally, is defined as freedom from disturbance; quiet and tranquility; freedom from or the cessation of war or violence; can be used as a greeting; an order to remain silent; a state of harmony between people or groups; freedom from strife; or Biblically, Peace means "to be complete" or "to be sound." I could go on and on but peace is whatever we decide it to be within each realm of our own individual life; whether it be personal, family, or worldwide.
I find within my own realm, that my peace is found in God, and in Him alone. He is "Yahweh Shalom" and He's all I need to make it through this world. He completes me! He keeps me sound! He fills the desires within my heart that bring peace and keeps my feet planted on solid ground. In the midst of the cares of this world, He brings peace to mind with reassurance that He is forever with me and has everything pre-planned and pre-paid for my life to be complete in Him. All I have to do is Relax in His provisions and Trust Him; and He will most assuredly guide me along life's pathway.
Peace is certainly needed in this world with all the wars and turmoil going on; its needed in our homes, our families' homes, and within our own inner self, as well. However you may need peace to exist in your life, I pray you will allow God to be your source. He will bring you peace in the midst of any storm of life if only you ask; and when you ask, learn to lean on Him, to relax in Him; to listen to Him and follow His guidance; and as you allow yourself to trust Him in all your ways, He will bring you peace of mind like you never knew.
Have a wonderfully blessed and peaceful day, dear friend. God loves you and so do I~~~

REALLY KNOWING HIM

While sitting on my patio early this morning and listening to the beautiful sounds all around, I was drawn to a certain phrase in John 14 and took notice where Jesus was talking with the disciples who were questioning about finding the way to where He was going and wanting to know the Father when Jesus answered in v.6,7 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. IF you really know me, you will know my Father as well." And that leaves me with today's inspirational message.
Do we Really know Jesus and understand that He is one with the Father? Do we really believe there are three persons in one: Father, Son, Holy Spirit?  Do we really believe that each of Them, all three of them, work together to fulfill God's perfect plan in our life? Do we really believe they will never work against the other, but Always work together in perfect unity to fulfill the Father's will and bring glory to the kingdom of God? The key is in the first part of v.7 ,"IF YOU REALLY KNOW ME" and these five Words are LIFE indeed.
Jesus' disciples had walked, talked, ate, slept, witnessed many miracles along side Jesus and heard Him teach, and yet they didn't understand what He was teaching about where He was going and knowing the Father. Jesus seemed a bit surprised by their questions and not knowing, but He explained that when they looked at Him, they saw His Father; that all they see in Him and the works they had witnessed through Him was of the Father in Him; one and both the same; then He went on a bit further in John's writings, chapters 14-17, to explain Holy Spirit in the same manner as explaining the Father; because He saw how difficult it was for His followers to understand the Trinity Godhead at that present time.
In this Present time, many have read and heard the Word and believed and accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, and actually feel the very presence of Holy Spirit, alive and well deep within, but there are still some who Really don't understand, and continue to question the truth. That's where we can help as followers of Jesus. We can help guide them to His WORD and allow Holy Spirit to open their ears to His teaching so they can also come to Really know Him Who works within us, Who empowers and enable us to be more than conquerors in this present world. It's all about knowing in Whom we serve and Whose we are, that reassures us GOD IS GOD: FATHER, SON, HOLY SPIRIT. The Trinity, all three in one.
If in doubt, I urge you to read Jesus teachings regarding this in John 14, 15, 16, 17 as He explains how important They are in our lives today.  Take a little time and allow Holy Spirit to guide you through His life changing Word and I guarantee you will never be the same. If you feel you are unsure and might not REALLY know what is meant by the Trinity, I pray you will take this opportunity to call upon Him today and allow Him to teach you in all truth. He is an amazing teacher and always available to lead us in all our ways, if only we ask. God created YOU to be part of HIS Family, and is Lovingly waiting with arms open wide. He loves you like none other with a love far above humankind, that is totally unconditional. You will find that God is truly all you will ever need to make it in this world.
It is in Him that I live and move and have my being and seek to bring glory and honor to His Holy name in all I do, in all I say, and in all I ever hope to be. I in Him and He in me throughout all eternity. Be strong and in the power of HIS might! Have a wonderfully blessed day, dear friends. God loves you, and so do  I~~~

Celebrate Life

Tonight I am filled with so many warm loving emotions and so thankful for all the love God has shown throughout my lifetime. This has been a weekend filled with mixed emotions as we've celebrated my husband and the Father of my three daughters' home-going anniversary Friday; and then we celebrated my grown daughter's birthday today and brought back such heartwarming memories as we removed her Strawberry Shortcake dolls from her cake; giggling as we licked the icing off them while reminiscing about way back when; and then also celebrated Fathers Day for those Dads who are so special and dear to us in so many ways.
I have learned over the years that life is truly what you make of it; and with my multitude of precious family members and all my precious friends, I am so overwhelmed with gratitude and the greatest sense of satisfaction that I have not felt in such a very long time that I just want to go outside and shout to all who would hear, "I Love My Life!" I guess it's true that life gets sweeter as the days go by, or possibly in my case, as the years go by. But whatever it may be, I have thoroughly enjoyed this weekend and I find that I am thoroughly enjoying this life I now live; and yet it is not I, but Christ in me, the hope of glory; that leaves me with such a wonderful sense of satisfaction and unending peace.
As you conclude your weekend, I hope you're able to look back over how you spent your time and find it was joyful because life can quickly pass you by. It's the little things we do that seem to really matter most: those moments you spend with someone baking, or making something, or just sitting around chatting and laughing about things that will be shared as a precious memory. Life was given to enjoy and to enjoy it in abundance, so don't allow life to pass you by as you open your eyes to a new day. Determine within yourself to enjoy life and to build precious memories with all those you encounter along life's way; one day at a time. And as you do, remember that God loves you-and so do I~~~

Army of Believers

"Worthy is the lamb that was slain, worthy is the lamb that conquered the grave, worthy is the lamb that was slain; worthy, worthy, worthy. This is amazing Grace, this is unfailing love; that He would take my place, that He would bear my cross; He would lay down His life, that I might be set free; O' Jesus I sing for all that you've done for me."
It is nothing short of God's Amazing Grace, that would allow Jesus to take my place and bear my sins upon that cross; that gives me strength to move forward from where I've been, to where He is leading me. It's Him in me, that allows me to be all I can be in Christ Jesus. It's the power within me that fills me with unimaginable strength to do All things whatsoever He has declared; and it's Him in me that brings such peace and comfort in the midst of life's storms.
God is doing a new thing in the hearts of all those who will hear His voice and are submissive to His guidance and direction in their life. He is forming an army of believers who will stand up and declare Him today before all men. Believers who are not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ Jesus and will share Him, without hesitation, to a lost and dying world. Believers who will shine forth in the midst of darkness and declare Him as the Light of the world and lead them out of a world of sin and despair. Believers who will share His LOVE to one and all, condemning and judging not; remembering that if not for God's Amazing Grace, there go I.
God is looking for believers who are willing to lay aside all their past and freely move forward in the power of His might and win the lost at any cost. Today is the day of salvation, and God is calling. Will you surrender your life; all that you are; and allow Him to use you for His kingdom sake? The choice is yours and I pray you will choose wisely; because of all He has already done, and wants to do in your life today. Think about it- pray about it- talk to Him about it. Will you be one in His army of believers? He is eagerly waiting with arms open wide!
Have a wonderfully blessed day, dear friends. God loves you and so do I.

Precious Memories

18 years ago on June 17, 1998, at 11:15 in the morning, God called my precious Larry home and today precious memories continue to warm my heart. As I see his charming personality and quirky humor in my family, I feel blessed to know that even now his legacy lives on in our daughters, our grandsons and granddaughter, our extended families, and all those who knew and loved him so dearly. It's not about the wealth we obtain while we are on this earth that people remember; but the way we treated them and made them feel that leaves a lasting impression long after we are gone.
Larry was born to be an over achiever in most anything he set his mind to. He was awesome in sports and loved to play football, baseball and basketball and excelled in them all. As he grew older, he loved to coach sports, and even umpire the games. He loved hunting but he absolutely loved fishing. He loved life and loved people. He had this quirky jovial personality that made him determined to win people's friendship, no matter what. One of his favorites goals in life was when he would meet someone who seemed to be backward or timid and for whatever reason were not joining in the fun, so he'd begin to aggravate them in such a way that finally, he would break through their tough exterior and there would be a smile- and then a laugh-and even a chuckle or two; and then he would relax knowing his mission was accomplished; they were friends for life!
Everyone that knew Larry learned to love this unique man who charmed the hearts of all who knew him; and even today, people still remember his jokes and his fun-loving charming personality.  Although he's gone from sight, he still remains alive and dearly loved in the hearts of all his family and It warms my heart to see him in our daughters and grandchildren as well. Larry was my childhood sweetheart which made it really bittersweet to continue living once he was gone. I had my girls and their families, but I was alone, but being witness to the events preceding his departure brought a peace like none other; as his family and the hospice staff witnessed visitations with angels who came to stay at his bedside weeks before they finally took him home. Larry didn't understand why we couldn't see them as he would show us where they were; nodding in their direction; not realizing that their visit and this spiritual realm was for his eyes only and not something we could see; but it was good to know they brought him peace during his final days before they escorted him to his heavenly home.
Even tho I was a Christian and wore a smile on my face for many years afterward, I was totally heartbroken and miserable inside and Only God knew how devastated I was. I am so thankful for His comfort and peace as I attempted to walk through life without Larry by my side. Many are the years He had to carry me, and never once did He make me feel guilty for calling upon Him for strength to continue this life; because many times I just wanted to close my eyes in sleep and never wake up on earth again; but God had a different plan for my life.  Today I still miss Larry dearly but after much needed healing, I am finally ready to move forward in the life God has predestined for me to walk without Larry by my side. In the past couple years, I have come to develop a very dear and personal relationship with the Lord and the more I sought Him, the more real He became. Holy Spirit is the dearest companion anyone could ever have and He has filled the void and loneliness within my life. Now I know that no matter what comes my way, God has me covered in the palm of His hands and He will never leave me and forever and always, I am His and He is mine throughout all eternity!
So, today I walk hand in hand with Him every step of the way, through every moment of every day, and seek to fulfill the calling God has placed within my heart. He is the very air I breathe, the wind beneath my wings, the song that I sing, and the love of my life. And with Him leading the way and providing all I need to accomplish the tasks before me; I know that I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me and I am so excited to see the plans unfolding that He has for me and me alone!
I pray that each of you will make time to enjoy and acknowledge your loved one today, while they are still walking alongside you. Life is filled with uncertainties and there is not one second promised to any of us; so let's enjoy Life to the fullest: Live well, Laugh often, and Love much!  Let's be all we can for His glory sake and Be blessed, dear friend. God loves you and so do I~

Clothing your mind

Good morning, dear friends! Are you up and dressed or in the process of dressing yourself outwardly for the day? Are you sure you're ready for the day? Did you remember to dress your inward man as well as the outward? Ya know, being dressed inwardly spiritually is the most important dressing of the entire day.
Colossians 3:12-17 tells us "Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another; if any of you has a grievance against someone Forgive, as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
We don't know what today holds but God certainly does; and it is so important to be prepared for whatever may come your way; so we can be more than conquerors in all we encounter. Clothing our mind with spiritual tools is a must. Being mindful that Holy Spirit is within us, not only to lead and guide us, but also to warn us of roadblocks and pending dangers ahead, both physically and spiritually; so we must take time to sharpen our skill of listening and heed His instructions as we go through our day. Proverbs 3:5,6 tells us to "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding; in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path."
Clothing our mind with the Word of God will sharpen our listening skills and allow Holy Spirit to guide us in the only sure way to avoid dangerous pitfalls. So as you go throughout your day, listen attentively to God's voice as He leads and guides you in all your ways; and don't forget your garment of praise that brings smiles to our Father's face. Have a blessed day, dear friends, God loves you and so do I~~~

Let Go--And Let God

"But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" Philippians 3:13b-14.
Dear friends, It's time to stop allowing things of the past to steal our joy and hinder us from moving forward. We can lose sight of our predestined future by holding on to things of our past. Jesus came to set us free from all sin, to deliver us from all oppression, to heal us from all the painful memories of our past, and to bring us into a brand new future predestined just for us; filled with love, joy, peace, and prosperity In Him (Jeremiah 29:11). I am learning to let go of the past and look forward to this moment in time;  realizing that once past, it will never come again.
We have been given the right to choose whether we enjoy this life God has given or allow it to pass us by, filled with sadness and despair. So by the grace of God, I choose to let go of my past and let God use me for His kingdom sake. I choose to LIVE every day as if it were my last; to SING as if no one were listening; and to DANCE as if no one were watching. I choose to praise and worship Him and bring glory to the one and only true God; God in Heavenly Father, God in Jesus, and God in Holy Spirit. He is the wind beneath my wings, the very air that I breathe, the strength I totally depend on, the joy of my life, and I will not be shaken. I choose to enjoy the beauty of this life in all God has created and to be happy in it. I choose to spread love and kindness and share Him with those I meet. I choose to lift up and to encourage others along my way. I choose to be all He has said I could be in Him.
Life is all about choices and I choose to be all He says I can be for His glory sake! How about you? Would you like to join me and choose to enjoy your life to its fullest, as well. Let's learn to sing and to dance in the rain. Let's choose to let go and let God!!! Let's be all we can be for His glory sake and be blessed, dear friends, God loves you and so do I~~~

Light The Way

From the very beginning of time, God saw the need for light to shine forth in the darkness; so He created light, Gen.1:4, "God saw the light, that it was good: And God divided the light from the the darkness;" but as mankind continued to inhabit the earth and sin abounded and began to darken the world; God again saw the need for light in our darkness so He sent His Son Jesus into the world to be the light of men. "In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."Jn.1:4,5.
What caused man to become so consumed in their own darkness, that the very light of God, Jesus, could actually stand in their midst with His light shining all around, and they were still unable to recognize Him? When does man become so engulfed in darkness that they cannot see the true light come into our midst? When do we fail to see the very Creator of all heaven and earth as the light of our world? How long will we allow darkness to rule our world and refuse to see the light trying to guide us out into His loving arms? Jn 3:19,"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."
It is not the will of God that any be lost; and He has provided and conquered every thing that was needed to save this world of their sins. But just as in the days when Jesus walked the earth, man refused to see the light. Even tho Jesus came into the world to give Himself a ransom for the sins of all mankind; many still chose to continue in evil rather than accept the light of His glorious, unconditional Love; and today God is still attempting to guide mankind out of darkness into His glorious light.
He encourages us, who have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, to allow His light to shine forth so others can see and find their way to freedom from a life of sin and darkness. It is God's will that none be lost; that all come to repentance; and as God's children and believers of His glorious light, we must not hide His light; but allow His light to shine forth in the face of darkness that Jesus be glorified, and souls be saved.
So, how about it? You ready to let your light shine for Jesus? Let's determine within our minds to light up this world!  Let's let our little lights shine!  Ya know, just one little light in a room filled with darkness can still shine enough light to lead others out of darkness. So why don't you go ahead and let your light shine for Jesus! Have a wonderfully blessed day, dear friends, and let's shine! God loves you and so do I~~~

Relationships

Have you ever wondered about relationships and why they succeed or fail? Ever wonder why so many people say they are 'seeking a relationship' when really they just want to see what the other has to offer them? And when things don't go the way they would expect, they are quick to pick up and leave that relationship?Relationships are found in all areas of our life: between husband and wife, father and daughter/son, mother and daughter/son, sister to sister, brother to brother, sister to brother/brother to sister, one member to another member, and the lists could just go on and on; but what is a relationship really based on? What does it take to form a true relationship?
Relationship is defined as 'the state in which two or more concepts, objects, or people are connected; the state of being connected by blood or marriage; the state of where two or more people or organizations regard and behave toward each; and the emotional or sexual association between two people.' Whatever the purpose; a relationship still takes two to engage and make up that relationship.
So why do so many relationships fail? Could it be that only one is willing to provide what is needed to make that relationship last? Could it be that it was never a relationship to begin with? Or could it be that one, or neither of the two, had made Jesus the center of that relationship?
Doesn't matter if it's a personal or business relationship; building any relationship on the foundation of Christ Jesus is the only sure basis for a life-long success in any given relationship. You may be wondering why I would bring Jesus into this scenario, so I will be glad to tell you. It's because the relationship between God and man is the greatest relationship of all; and because God created you and me for a relationship in which He could walk and talk with us anytime of the day or night so we could talk and listen and communicate back and forth in a true relationship. And that's the basis for a true relationship; communicating back and forth. WOW! Can you imagine a relationship with God like that? Where you and I could talk and even laugh and enjoy conversations with God, one on one, with no interference; just mankind and God!
Well, dear friends, that's what God is longing for; that is what He is seeking. Ya know, you and I go to God in prayer all the time for different answers and different needs, but in all our asking, do we ever stop to ask Him what we can do for Him? What He seeks from us? Do we ever stop and realize how much He desires for us, His child, to come to Him just because we want to spend some alone time with Him; asking nothing in return?
All through our life we have sought answers, sought help in times of need, sought understanding, sought guidance, sought wisdom from God; and when our answers didn't come or were delayed, we wondered why it seemed we couldn't hear from God. But did we ever take the necessary time to form that true relationship with Him? Did we set aside uninterrupted time after submitting those requests to be able to hear back from Him; and just be alone with Him as needed in a true relationship?
If you desire a true relationship with God, then I encourage you to begin to set aside time to be alone with God; your Father, your Savior, your Comforter and guide. As you spend that much needed alone time with Him you will become more attentive to His voice, His ways, and His will in your life; and you will begin to enjoy that much desired relationship between God and man! Then and only then, will you begin to live that abundant life and know the true meaning of being free from all apprehension and fears; free from all bondage and sins; free to be who you are in Him and proclaim Jesus as Lord of your life!
If you will take this much needed time and devote it to building this relationship with Him; I guarantee this will begin the best relationship of your entire lifetime; filled with joy unspeakable and peace beyond measure!
May you enjoy a wonderfully blessed day, dear friend. God loves you and so do I~~

FOCUS WITH A PURPOSE

Well, this morning brings another beautiful sunshiny day, although a bit brisky. Had to go back in and grab a light jacket for my morning walk; and the warm conversation and birds chirping all around, set the tone for a wonderful relaxing time. Such a refreshing start to any day!
I love walking and talking with the Lord in the early hours of morning, before all the hustle and bustle of life begins. Allowing God to become the main focus of my life and giving Him control over every thing, no matter how great or small, has brought such a relaxing peace of mind too difficult to describe; but so wonderful to experience! Knowing that no matter what comes my way, good or bad, God's got it all covered in the palm of His hands, is an assurance that brings peace beyond measure. Life is good, and God is greater!!!
The purpose of our life is far greater than our own personal fulfillment, our own peace of mind, or even our own happiness. It’s far greater than family, careers, or even our wildest dreams and ambitions. To know why we were born and placed on this planet, you must begin with God. John 1:3,"Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made" We were born by His purpose and for His purpose. Jeremiah 29:11," For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future." God created you and me for the good, but unless we come to know Him and allow Him to guide us; we cannot know His divine plan and will for our life.
Ephesians 1:11-14 tells us, "In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory."
It's in Him that we find out who we are and what we are truly living for. From birth, He has had His eye on us, had even created perfect designs on us for glorious living, and desires for us to enjoy an abundant life built on Jesus. It's not about obtaining wealth, or a sense of success, or even obtaining degrees(which are good in their own right), but it's about finding Jesus and God's will for our life; and then setting our focus on the His predestined pathway; that we obtain true success in all areas of our life and feel the refreshing peace flood through our minds that no man can give. Only in God can true peace be found.
My prayer for you is that you will begin to set your mind on things above that are eternal and not on earthly things that pass away. A life built on the foundation of Jesus will stand firm when all manner of hell comes against it. With God, and In God, we can do all things! Have a wonderfully blessed day, dear friends. God loves you and so do I~~~

Emergencies Happen

Around one o'clock this morning one of my friends called me and was having severe chest pain, was clammy, and couldn't seem to get her breath which required EMS transport to the hospital, of course. Due to her severe pain and shortness of breath and inability to think at times, I began thinking about how all of us need to make a list and place it on the inside of our front door with necessary information for EMS showing: at least 2 emergency contacts' name and phone numbers, allergies, medications, and medical history for times like these.
I thank God that she is now in stable condition and being kept for observation and more tests; but it was difficult to get this information from her due to the severe pain and distress she was in; and God forbid, if she'd had an acute heartache how would we find the information needed to get her the best care possible or to notify her family? I am just so very thankful she was able to receive the help needed and as for me and all of us here, the emergency list is certainly something we will be attending to quickly.
I pray that each of you will take to heart that just because you're healthy right now doesn't mean this can never happen to you. This happened to a very healthy and energetic young lady who speed walks around our complex morning and evenings and who was in great shape. People suffer heart attacks and strokes of all ages and again, having the necessary information readily available for those attending to you can be a matter of life or death.
So please take a few minutes and make your emergency list and place it where emergency personnel or someone trying to help you can easily find, for times like these; and keep in mind there is no guarantee you will be able to tell them where to find it, so please place it in a noticeable place like the inside of your front door and you can even place it inside a cover; but be sure to mark it Emergency Info.
Be Blessed, dear friends, and stay healthy. God loves you and so do I~~~

RUNNING THE RACE

Woke up early and while taking my morning walk around our complex I noticed our fast walkers up ahead and couldn't help but smile as the story of the tortoise and the hare came to mind. These ladies are fast walkers like the hare where I have to pace myself slow and easy like the tortoise, lol. But in my healing I have found that just taking my leisure walks, in my own pace and my own time, helps me finish the goal set before me for that day; while enjoying the journey along the way. Wisdom comes from past mistakes and I have learned that it's not about how quickly things are accomplished that make us overcomers; but that we continue to move forward, one step at a time; finishing the race set before us.
Life is too short to worry about the little things like trying to measure up to mankind's standards. Peer pressure can only be imposed on those who allow it; and learning that early on in life can prevent a multitude of hurt, set backs, and loss of self esteem. No two people were created exactly alike in every thing and it seems that variety is meant to be the spice of life. It savors everything from fashion styles to the foods we eat, and is noticeable in everything we come in contact with; allowing us to see how unique things of life can be in our very own perspective. Variety is meant to be a good thing.... a very good thing!
God created every thing with its own uniqueness; in a variety of sizes and colors from the flowers to the trees, to the birds of the air and the fish of the sea, to the greatest mammal or the smallest creature, to the majestic mountaintops or the lowlands of the earth; every thing was created in His beauty. Seeing all this and realizing God loves variety, let's slow down our pace and begin to enjoy this life God has given and finish our course in due season. Let's run the race set before us and enjoy life and all its pleasures along the way. And as you do, begin looking at 'You' as that unique individual God created and loves beyond measure; and as you run your race in your own pace, begin to feel His loving smile upon you in whatever you do. Have a wonderfully blessed day, dear friend. God loves you and so do I~~~

Showers, Rainfall, Storms

This is the day the Lord has made, Let's rejoice and be glad in it! The showers have been off and on throughout the weekend refreshing and replenishing the earth and more showers are on their way. Will there be thunder? Will there be lots of rain- or just showers? Will we use umbrellas or just try to run fast enough to avoid getting wet? Will the showers bring on storms? Decisions, concerns, wonders- life is filled with all that and so much more. But somehow, knowing God is in it all and working within us through it all, makes it all so amazingly wonderful.
Life is how we perceive it and how we choose to accept each change, both good and bad, that grows us into who we are and who we will become for His glory. The Word of God declares in Jeremiah 29:11 that God has our future all laid out and that He desires not just a good life, but actually, an abundant life for each one of us. Whatever comes and whatever may go, the assurance that God has us all in the palm of His hands, can bring about the greatest peace in the midst of storms.
So, whether you are blessed with showers, or an abundance of rainfall, or even endure a storm or two today, may you look at each with the assurance that you are not alone. God is right there with you and will guide you through it all. May life treat you kindly and if you encounter roadblocks along life's way, may you always remember God is greater than any thing this world has to offer and certainly greater than anything that may come against you. So enjoy the amazing wonders this day has to offer and "SMILE, GOD LOVES YOU" and so do I~~~

STOP! BE STILL, AND LISTEN~~~

To most of us weekend's are our time to relax and unwind from those busy schedules and events that bring so many stressors into our lives; but have you ever stopped to wonder why we allow our Monday thru Friday schedules to do that to us? Why we can't be content and enjoy life as it is, every day of the week, no matter what day it is or what comes our way? Sounds good, doesn't it? Actually, sounds like a dream world at times, right?
Reality finds that this old world holds so many people with so many personalities; and since everyone has their own opinion who believe their opinion is right; those differences can quickly turn our perfect world into a living hell. Can I get a witness on that? Amazing how lively and motivated people become in trying to prove their opinion to others who don't see eye to eye with them. I've witnessed people who otherwise would be too exhausted to get up and move about and be so weak in speech; BUT who become so insistent in proving themselves right, that suddenly energy arises from deep within and a new person springs forth; and too often, it's not a person we care to engage further in conversation, if ya know what I mean.
Life is truly an interchanging experience from start to finish as we learn to walk and talk early on but as years are multiplied unto us, we learn to sit down and be quiet. I've learned that the lessons that mean most to me came by sitting down, being quiet, and listening. We have to stop and truly listen to understand what is being told, and if we're not still long enough and quiet long enough, then we can never really listen. Life could be filled with so much love and joy if we would just stop trying to prove our points and peacefully agree to disagree. Learning to live peacefully, when possible (Romans 12:18) leads to a life of contentment in whatever state you are in, as Paul wrote in Philippians 4:11.
Keep in mind that we are to be a reflection of Jesus if we declare ourselves to be Christians; and being mindful of others' opinions as well as their feelings, demonstrates what truly lies deep within each of us. Learning to Stop what we're doing, Sit down, Be quiet, and Listen shows our undivided attention; and It's in that quiet stillness that we are able to hear them, as well as listen to Holy Spirit's direction, and then we will know how to guide them in God's Love. Learning to speak the truth in love is more than a phrase to be thrown out when we want to justify our opinion and it is divine interventions of peaceful living from God within us that leads others to Him.Think about it!

Have a blessed day and a wonderful weekend. God loves you and so do I~~~

SOLID FOUNDATION

Is your future built on a solid foundation? A solid foundation that will never crumble or that can ever be torn down? Mine is..... and I love this old song, "My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus' blood and righteousness, I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus' name. On Christ the solid Rock I stand, All other ground is sinking sand, All other ground is sinking sand." The lyrics to this old hymn came to mind as I was reading in I Peter 1:3-4 (NIV) "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you."  WOW, this passage just seemed to pop out at me! Did you get it?...... "into an inheritance that can NEVER PERISH, SPOIL OR FADE", and I love how it declares that "this inheritance is kept in Heaven for me." Kept in safe-keeping..... Totally Awesome!!!
Our hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus Christ' and righteousness(right standing with God through Jesus Christ). "For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; It is the gift of God: Not by works, lest any man should boast."(Eph 2:8,9) Clearly not by our works so we could boast, but through faith in the works of Jesus, Who met each requirement set by God and conquered them all to assure us that our sin debt is Paid In Full; nothing lacking; that's why from the cross He cried out, "It Is Finished!" He had fulfilled all that was needed for our redemption.
I hear people talk of loved ones who passed and how they 'hope they made it in' and they talk about how 'good they were' and 'all the works they did for His kingdom'; and it seems they just can't comprehend the truth that it is not by our works that we make it in; but by belief and faith in "Jesus and His works completed for us", that we make it in. We are fully covered under His blood and His righteousness when we repent and accept Him as our Lord and Savior. ALL our sin debt is washed away, as God told us in Isaiah 43:25, "I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more."
I ask you this, dear friend, Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Is your sin debt paid in full? I pray you will not let another minute pass you by without accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. We can never measure up to what would be worthy; nor would all our good deeds ever be deemed worthy enough; that's why Jesus came and gave His life as a ransom for anyone who would believe upon Him and the works He has done..... and only through Jesus can anyone be redeemed through His Holy blood. Our sins washed away, past, present, and future; and through Jesus Christ we stand redeemed before God Almighty; covered by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus!!! Old things passed away, and all things become new.
If you are not sure of your salvation or if doubts have clogged your thinking and made you feel inadequate for God's love; remember that it is not by our works, but by His Amazing Grace, that He has already taken care of anything and everything needed to make us acceptable before God; so take a moment right now and ask Jesus into your heart. He is right there beside you waiting, with arms open wide, to accept you just the way you are.  He loves you with a love like none other; and His Love is Totally Unconditional. If you once accepted Him but have wandered out in the pathway of sin, and you feel there is no hope and He is no longer with you; remember it was you that moved away because He has promised to never leave you nor forsake you, no matter what. So stop doubting and place your hope on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ and enjoy an abundant life fully dependent upon Him and His Divine Love for you. He is the author and finisher of our faith!
Be blessed, dear friends. God loves you and so do I~~~

STOP, AND SMELL THE ROSES

What a beautiful day God has given! I treasure my early mornings sitting on the patio my daughter created for me; my very own beautiful oasis, a relaxing patio cabana, no less. Thank you so much, Mechele.  It is so wonderfully relaxing to just sit out here and enjoy time with God, sip my morning coffee, and just enjoy all the splendor of God's great Handiwork while listening to the birds chirping and all the sounds of nature surrounding my life. I finally understand the validity of that dear old saying, Take time to stop and smell the roses. Life has so much Beauty to offer if we just take the time to look for it. He has given so many beautiful things to grace our life if we just look for them, but we tend to be in such a hurry that we only see things affecting our life right now and fail to see what's out there, in the distance. I am just so thankful I am finally able to see it and ENJOY!
It's true what they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It really is in how we look at things and how we choose to see them. Is it good, or is it bad? Do we see it in a positive way, or in a negative way? Or do we even want to see it in a good or positive way? I believe beauty is truly found when we choose to live life to the fullest; knowing God is in full control of every area of our life; from the tiniest notion to the greatest move; and knowing He wants only the Best for us. That awareness encompasses you with His Love and brings to fruition an awesome Peace of mind and Joy within like none other; and suddenly life becomes beautiful all around. In all you see and all you do the beauty of His creations shine through.
What a joy fills my heart today! What a relief to know that He watches over me and all those who are mine and has us all covered in the palm of His hand. I pray that as your day continues, that you won't be in such a hurry that you fail to see the beauty He has placed around and in your life. God asks so little of us; He just desires a little time from our busy life to just steal away somewhere safe for a little alone time with Him so the two of you can find solace in sharing one to another the needs that will make your life complete in Him. If we just try to fit Him in to our busy schedule our mind shuffles back and forth between Him and the tasks ahead and we're unable to truly concentrate and allow Him to refresh, to strengthen, and to equip us for the day ahead. That's all He asks. Simple, but vital to our well being and peace of mind.

So I pray that sometime during your day, you will choose to take time to Stop!....and smell the roses. Enjoy the beauty all around you and enjoy a wonderfully blessed day, dear friends. God truly loves you and so do I~~~
