Whole Armour of God

Sharing the message from last night's TMC Sisterhood Connection for all those who were not able to come, Be Blessed!
I feel the need to encourage each of you to begin a prayer life like you've never known before. A prayer life where lives are changed and strength regained as Holy Spirit empowers from within. As we engage daily struggles within our homes, our jobs, our communities, our country and all around, we can clearly see we are no longer fighting against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of darkness, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Over the past few decades we've watched prayer ruled out or replaced in school events and the Word of God distorted in efforts to legalize worldly lusts. We continue to watch our sons and daughters defend our country and yet how is their dignity upheld as they return to their home land maimed and wounded as people remain in high places, who've used their authority to pass laws violating America's moral standards upon which it was founded.
It's time we take a stand against the evil schemes coming against our families and against our country. It's time we become Spiritual Prayer Warriors, fully armed and ready for battle because the fight is on to save our families and all we love. It's time we realize the power given us through the authority of Jesus Christ and grab hold of the fact that "Greater is He that is within us than he that is in the world" as we fight the good fight of faith in defense of all we love. God gave us all we would ever need to fight against satan and come out victorious but we must be prepared and arm ourselves with ALL the weapons He has given us as described in Eph 6:10-18.
As Sisters in Christ, I encourage each of you to begin praying for our younger women. Look for ways to help and encourage them in their spiritual walk; by teaching and leading them by example to be godly prayer warriors for their families and all they hold dear. Children learn best by example, so we elderly women must be on watch over our younger women to instruct them, to encourage them, to pray over them, and to oversee their young walk in the Lord, so they will obtain the wisdom to train their little ones, and so on down the chain of life. We must encourage them to use God's power within to fight evil with good, not evil for evil; so they won't be led astray by vain philosophies and so called legalized abandonment of God's Word. We must teach our young women the power of prayer and the need to become fully clothed with the whole armour of God as we continue to encourage them in the faith, making them more than conquerors and victorious in all their ways.
Let's break down the Armour of God as described in Ephesians 6:10-18 so we can fully understand why it is so necessary to put on the WHOLE Armour of God and not just a part of it. We, nor those we love and care about, can afford to be caught unprepared and unarmed for these spiritual attacks.
Ephesians 6:10 tells us, "Finally, Be STRONG in the Lord(be empowered through your union with Him) and in the strength of His might(His power is boundless, He has limitless supply)
v. 11 Put on the Full Armour of God(be heavily armed with all God supplies) so you will be able to stand against the wiles(schemes, tricks, strategies, deceptions)of the devil
v. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places(rulers, organizations, authorities)
v.13 Therefore, TAKE UP the full Armor of God, so you can stand(resist) in the evil day, and having done all( everything God has told us to do), to stand. (Stand firmly in place- Hold your ground)
v. 14 Stand firmly in place, having girded your loins with TRUTH,(tightened your BELT of Truth which is God's Word)and fully encircled with the TRUTH(having the Word of God planted deep within us, readily available when prompted to guard and defend against evil attacks that try to come our way); and having put on the BREASTPLATE of RIGHTEOUSNESS(knowing who we are and Whose we are: as parents, our chest swells with pride when we show off or talk about our children and God wants us to know that He adores us, His children, redeemed and made righteous, in Right Standing with Him through Jesus and that He is quick to defend His child from harms way)
v.15 and having Shod your Feet with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace(purposely prepared with the Gospel of Peace to face the enemy with a firm-footed stability, prompt and ready, Unshakable, Unmovable, secure in His Peace)
v.16 Above all, taking up the Shield of Faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench(to extinguish) all the fiery darts of the wicked( lifting up over all the covering shield of saving faith, upon which you believe)
v.17 and take the HELMET OF SALVATION, and the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, which is the Word of God:(Helmets are placed upon the head to protect the most vital organ in the body:brain injuries affect the way we react, how we move, how we think, how we speak, and how we swallow; Left unprotected, the mind becomes the devil's playground. Our thoughts become words, Words become actions, Actions become habits, Habits become Character, and Our Character makes us who we are and ultimately affects our outcome; so we must guard our mind with all diligence, and keep it renewed daily with knowledge and wisdom that comes from the Word of God, which is The Sword of the Spirit). The Word equips us with knowledge on how and when to use our weapons most effectively. Jesus gave us three examples as He wielded the Word against satan's deceptive attacks in the wilderness. It is vital that we know the Word and keep it fresh within our minds, so it is quickly and readily available to use when needed. Just as the Sword is used with skill and exact precision to vital areas of a body, the Word is used to carefully and precisely affect every situation and deception satan brings our way.
v.18 Praying always, with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching(be Alert) with all perseverance(don't ever give up) and supplication(pleading humbly, earnestly) for all the saints;(as we Watch and Earnestly Pray and allow Holy Spirit to work through us continuously we will see breakthroughs in situations as God's will is accomplished. I encourage each one of you to wear your armour of God at all times. Be alert! Sharpen your vision so you can readily identify the immediate battlefield and what's going on. Ask Holy Spirit to show you the full truth so you will know how to engage the battle at hand and allow Him to pray for you when you don't know what to pray for as needed.)
As a sisterhood, we are our sisters' keepers, so we must be alert and watch for those fiery darts and deceptive forces that may come against our younger women, those new in the faith walk, those dear to us, and all those God lays upon our hearts to intercede on their behalf. We must begin a vigilant prayer life for all those battling the good fight of faith and anyone we can reach out and help save from destruction! Don't be deceived and think this doesn't involve you. This affects everyone that has breath in their body. As Christians(true followers of Jesus Christ) we are our sisters' keepers and together we can become a Mighty Sisterhood fighting down on our knees to overcome evil with good, and arising victoriously with the Lord on our side; but the time to start is Now; Not tomorrow- or the next day, but NOW!
So my question is: Who is on the Lord's side? Who is ready to armour up and become a Spiritual Prayer Warrior for Jesus Christ in His army of believers? The fight is On!!! and this is a fight for life! I pray each of you will think on these things and become Spiritual Prayer Warriors for our sisterhood, and for all those you hold dear. The fight is On!!!
