"My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus' name. On Christ the solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand; All other ground is sinking sand." The lyrics to this old hymn came to mind as I was reading in I Peter 1:3-4 (NIV) "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you." So have you received your inheritance yet? this inheritance that can NEVER PERISH, SPOIL OR FADE; kept in heaven for you!"
Wow, isn't it amazing that God has made us joint heirs with Jesus Christ and our inheritance can never perish, never spoil, never fade; and it has been laid up for us and kept safely in Heaven! Our hope that is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and righteousness(right standing with God through Jesus Christ). Not by our works so anyone could boast as noted in Ephesians 2:8-9; but it's through the works Jesus completed and our redemption thru Him that makes us righteous. Jesus conquered all that was needed to pay our sin debt IN FULL and having done all that was required, from the cross He cried out, "It Is Finished!" forever sealing our sin-debts as forgiven completely once we repent and accept Him and His works as Savior and Lord of our life. Nothing more needs to be done; Jesus conquered all that was needed for our salvation; fulfilling all that was needed for our redemption and inheritance into eternal life in Him.
There is nothing, absolutely nothing we could ever do to be righteous enough within our self. That's why He came and gave His life as the sacrificial lamb of God, pure and holy, as ransom for all who would believe upon Him and the works He has done. It is only through Jesus and Him alone, that we can be redeemed through His Holy blood and Amazing Grace. There is No other name but the name of Jesus that can wash our sins away, once and for all time; past, present and future! Only in the name of Jesus can we stand redeemed, covered by the blood of the Lamb of God. And that's why we proclaim, "What a beautiful life changing name, the name of Jesus!"
If you're not sure of your salvation or if doubts have clogged your thinking, take a moment right now and ask Jesus into your heart. He is right there beside you waiting with arms open wide, ready to accept you just the way you are. He loves you with an unconditional love like none other. If you once accepted Him and you feel He is no longer with you; then it had to be you that moved away, because He will never leave you nor forsake you; no matter what. So go ahead and stop doubting; repent of your unbelief, and restart your relationship again with Him. His Love for you now is as great as ever before; no matter what you've done, or where you're at. When you place your hope on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ, you can enjoy a wonderfully blessed life, dear friends. God loves you and so do I~~~
