Delayed Answers

Having fought pneumonia for the past couple weeks, I found myself getting impatient waiting for my healing to come and all my attempts to go and do and try to speed up my healing only made things worse and was actually prolonging my healing until I finally learned to relax and allow healing to be manifested in God's time and in His way. This got me to thinking how impatient we get waiting for an answer to our prayers, and how we even begin to plead and bargain for healing right now, instead of trusting God and knowing He is fully aware of our needs and is working all things for our good.
Maybe it's just me but have you ever wondered why answers to prayers are delayed and seem to take too long for God to answer? Ever thought the possibility was that God needed us to wait for our deliverance because the timing was not right because He had something coming our way that required us to be rested up and fully prepared for service?
God is so unique in all He does and His ways are certainly nothing like ours since all His actions are aimed at bringing glory and praise to God and not to mankind. We read throughout scripture how God is a jealous god who shares His praise with no one: not doctors, not medicated treatments, not therapy, not laying on of hands by a certain well known individual, not anyone; and since we are His creations, to Him rightfully belong all praise; or Does the creation dare to rob the Creator of His glory?
As individual creators over special things that become dear to us, we are very protective of what we created and won't allow anything to change or destroy our creation, whether it be our children, something we baked or cooked, or even a work of art we designed for a specific purpose. As parents over our children, we are quick to protect them from harms way. We set about nurturing them and making sure they have all they need to grow into well developed individuals. But if someone begins to change what we have created, we are quick to stop them and prevent them from spoiling our masterpiece; because That is our creation, not theirs!
As a potter molds and shapes their creation, even so, our lives are molded and shaped by God's own hands to be all He created us to be, and just as we don't want anyone changing our creation, neither does God want our predestined life to be changed from what He designed us to be, His very own workmanship, (Eph 2:10), predestined unto good works. It is His will and His plan, not ours; that should be guiding our life and when we pray for needs, we should remember that even Jesus prayed in the garden, "nevertheless not my will, but Thine be done." So instead of growing impatient with whatever has come our way, we need to do a self exam and see what mindset we have. Do we have the mind of Christ or are we the created telling the Creator what to do and how it should be done, instead of taking our needs to Him and trusting Him to answer that need in His time and in His way?
If we survey our responses when God delays an answer in the time-frame we feel He should, are we much like a spoiled child; wanting our way, in our time, and in the manner we prefer?... or are we trusting Him to answer in the time and manner necessary for our good? He wants us to trust Him in all our ways as Prov.3:5,6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths". He already knows what we have need of even before we ask, and watches over us to protect and provide those things necessary for an abundant life in Christ Jesus.
So, Why should we become disgruntled when cares of life are not met in the time frame or manner we think it should be? It's all in our relationship with our Creator, and knowing who we are in Him. It's in knowing that we are His handiwork, created in Christ Jesus, and there is nothing we can ever do or say that will separate us from His love(Rom 8:38,39). So as we learn to trust fully in His wisdom and guidance, we learn that it's in our weakness that He is made strong; and as we learn to walk in the pathway He has designed for our life; step by step, hand in hand with Jesus; we will receive all that is needed for an abundant life in Him. He wants only the very BEST for our life, not second best, but only THE BEST! "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."Jer.29:11
So let's learn to trust God when an answer to prayer is delayed and fully lean on Him and trust that He is working all things for our good as we wait upon the Lord to accomplish what is needed in our life for times like these. According to His timing He will do all that is needed within our life to bring us to that perfect state in Christ Jesus.... If we only believe and Fully Trust In Him!
Have a wonderfully blessed day, dear friends, God loves you and so do I~~~
