He Chose To Come

This being Good Friday, my mind is on the Savior of the world, Jesus, and His ultimate sacrifice for all mankind. I find it so amazing that from the beginning of time, Jesus knew that He would become the sacrificial lamb for all mankind. He would be that precious lamb; without spot or wrinkle, pure and unblemished; required to redeem mankind from all their sins. Knowing God's plan of salvation, and all the abuse and torture He would have to suffer, He still chose to come. He was aware that mankind would reject Him, and persecute Him, and say all manner of evil against Him.....and He still chose to come. He knew mankind would torture Him beyond measure; literally ripping His flesh from His body as stripes were placed across His back.....and He still chose to come. This King of all Kings, stepped down from His Holy Throne, knowing He would be mocked with a crown of thorns piercing His head....and He still chose to come. Knowing He would be crucified on the cross and suffer a horrible death for sins He never committed.....He still chose to come! Knowing all things that were to come.....He came. Isaiah 53:3-5 tells us,"He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. Surely He hath borne our grief, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed." Jesus chose to become the blood sacrifice needed for you and me to be pardoned from all our sins!
I cannot begin to fathom His love for all mankind; yet Jesus knew that without His ultimate sacrifice, we would be doomed forever.....and so He came.....and He fulfilled all that was needed for our redemption. His precious blood now atones for our sins, through His amazing grace, and salvation's plan. "He left the splendor of Heaven, knowing His destiny; was the lonely hill of Golgatha, There to lay down His life for me. If that isn't love, the ocean is dry; There's no stars in the sky, and the sparrow can't fly; If that isn't love, then Heaven's a myth; There's no feeling like this, if that isn't love. Even in death He remembered, the thief hanging by His side; He spoke with love with compassion, Then He took him to paradise. If that isn't love, the ocean is dry; There's no stars in the sky, and the sparrow can't fly; If that isn't love, then Heaven's a myth; There's no feeling like this, if that isn't love." The words of this precious song warms my heart, as it tells of the Amazing Love of our precious Lord Jesus, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. He loves us without measure, and fulfilled all the requirements needed so we could be pardoned from all our sins; through His victorious works; and share everlasting life with Him. Because He came, there is Hope! Because He came, we have Victory! Because He came, we are more than conquerors! Because of Him, we can face tomorrow! Because of Him, All our sins are gone! Because of Him, we can have a blessed day! God loves you and so do I~~
