The Power Within

Are you ready to make this day the best it can be? Psalms 37:23 tells us, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way." Everything that comes your way today can be a God-opportunity if you acknowledge Him in all your ways as instructed in (Proverbs 3:5-7) "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."  Instead of going blind-sighted throughout today; look for God's hand in the midst of your encounters.......You never know when any given opportunity will produce a "mighty work of God."  God is looking for workers in His harvest of plenty. Workers who will allow themselves to be His hands extended, His Word spoken forth, His arms surrounding to comfort, and His divine love meeting needs through Jesus Christ and the power of Holy Spirit. Jesus said in Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised."  As He ministered to the great multitudes of people and their many needs, he told the disciples(his followers) In Matthew 9:37, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." Throughout His ministry on earth, Jesus continued to teach His followers the need to be about the Father's business, even to the moment He was ready to ascend back into heaven. He told them in Mt 28:19-20, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you, And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the world."
The harvest truly is plentiful with multitudes of lost and lonely people in urgent need for God's deliverance to set them free from sin and oppression, from sickness and disease, from hurts and depression; but how will they hear of deliverance unless we are about our Father's business reaching out to them in Love, sharing the gospel with them and meeting needs through the power of Holy Spirit. The healing power of Jesus Christ is still the same today as it was when He walked the earth. The healing virtue still flows from the heavenly throne to everyone who will believe! Our God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). What He did in the past for one person, He will do for me and you. But we must believe to receive!.....and there must be workers in the fields sharing the Word for them to hear, and believe, to receive! God is our strength and the Source that supplies all the knowledge and power needed for us to act on His Word!  He tells us in Acts 1:8, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."  Today's Holy Spirit within each of us is the same Holy Spirit that healed the sick, the blind, the lame, and raised the dead- yes, that even raised Jesus from the dead!  He has not changed or lost His power!  He is the power that strengthens us, empowers us, and enables us to be witnesses and to be about our Father's business; healing the sick through Jesus' name by the power He invested within each of us who truly believe upon Him and His power thereof; But all is done in the name of Jesus and to God belongs all glory and praise!!! Think about this *power* accompanying you, working within you, invigorating your senses, sharpening your gifts, giving you boldness to be all you can be for the glory of God and His kingdom sake!
Dear friend, You've got the Power!!!  The Power of Almighty God, enabling you to do ALL things (Philippians 4:13) through Christ that strengthens you!  By His power, you can be that extension of His Word as He works through you to accomplish God's great plan, not just for you, but for the whole world. Think about it.......to be God's hands extended, reaching out to a lost and hurting world; to be His voice sharing the Word in love and encouragement; to be His arms reaching around someone who desperately needs a hug today. But He needs to vessels to work through; so instead of just going through the day in a ho-hum attitude, following your same old meaningless routines; why not choose to be His vessel unto honor?  There is no greater joy with no greater inward rewards, than being in service to our Lord, who remains forever faithful. God uses every Word spoken and every step taken to witness, for His glory. Will you be a willing vessel unto His honor today? Will you allow Him to use you to reach that person searching for answers, for a hug, for peace of mind?  I pray that as you think on these things, you will choose wisely; and I pray you have a wonderfully blessed day, because God loves you and so do I~
