Do You Have Your Clothes On; Are You Really Ready?

Good morning, dear friends! Are you up and about; all ready for the day?  Did you remember to dress your inward man as well as the outward before you left out? Ya know, being dressed inwardly is the most important dressing of the day, overall!
Colossians 3:12-17 tells us "Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another; if any of you has a grievance against someone Forgive, as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
Clothing our mind with the Word of God sharpens our ability to hear Holy Spirit guiding us, and is the only way to avoid dangerous pitfalls through the day. We don't know what today holds but God certainly does; and it is so important to have our minds alert and our spiritual armor in place so we aren't tripped up by satan's evil schemes and devices. That's why Jesus sent Holy Spirit to dwell within each of us; He didn't come to only lead and to guide us, but He dwells within so He can warn us of roadblocks and pending dangers up ahead, both physically and spiritually; but we must have our ears open and be attentive to His voice if we want Him to direct us along our way. Proverbs 3:5,6 tells us to 'Trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not unto our own understanding; but in all our ways to acknowledge Him and He will direct our path.' I personalized this scripture passage because this is the key to becoming over-comers in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior!
So as we go throughout this day, let's listen attentively to God's voice as He leads and guides us in all our ways; and let's not forget our garment of praise that brings those precious smiles to our Father's face. I pray you have a wonderfully blessed day, dear friends, God loves you and so do I~~~
