YOU CAN BEAT THE HEAT

Well the season of winter has certainly passed and the high temps are ushering in the blistering sun; and as we begin taking on outdoor festivities, we are sure to usher in lots of water to assure everyone remains hydrated throughout the hot season ahead. It's in times like these, we have to know how to beat the heat as we are reminded how quickly the heat can drain our bodies of its natural water and deplete our energy; especially during competitions requiring us to be at our best physical condition throughout the day; so we are quick to remember water, and lots of hydration to assure that doesn't happen. In much the same way, our souls can quickly become depleted as we go through life; fighting against different degrees of competitions in life that require us to be at our best spiritually. Oftentimes, we are caught off guard and unable to beat the heat coming against us; unless we have that necessary hydration bubbling up from deep within our very soul; that living water that allows us to never thirst again spiritually. Jesus told the woman at the well in John 4:14,"But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."
Our bodies are not just made up of flesh and blood; but it's the spirit within us that makes us who and what we are. We are spirits inside a mortal body; and when our time on earth is over, our spirit will leave these bodies and ascend back to God who created us and all things from the beginning. How we nourish and maintain our entire being; mind, soul, and body; will determine the end results. Our spirit man hungers when we allow cares of life to separate us from being in God's presence; as David shared in Psalm 42, that as a deer pants for streams of water; even so his soul pants for God.
I'm reminded of the song, "There is a river, that flows from deep within; There is a fountain, that frees the soul from sin; Come to these waters; there is a vast supply; There is a river that never shall run dry." And as my mind dwells on The Living Water, I sense His sweet Spirit call, "Come just as you are; Hear the Spirit call; Come just as you are; Come and see, come receive, come and live forever; Come just as you are ; Hear the Spirit call; Come just as you are; Come and see, come receive, come and live forever; Life everlasting, strength for today; Taste the Living Water, and never thirst again; Come and see, come receive, come and live forever; Life everlasting, strength for today; Taste the Living Water, and never thirst again; Come just as you are; don't you hear the Spirit call? Come just as you are; Come and see Christ my King, Come and live forever more."
It's amazing to hear the Spirit springing up within your soul; songs of praise bubbling forth; and the awesomeness of His peace as the spirit man is hydrated and maintained with His vast supply of Living Water that never ends. The assurance of God's Love and His eagerness to fill us with that unending stream of Living Water that causes us to never thirst again, is another blessing that God is forever faithful and as John tells us in Rev 21:6,"And He said, "It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega--the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life." So if you are thirsty and the temperatures of life are soaring and draining you of your energy; look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. You can beat the heat, no matter the circumstance, if you maintain your spirit man with His hydration system that never runs dry. His Living Water Have a wonderfully blessed day, dear friends God loves you and so do I~~~
