HAPPY FEET

Ever feel so happy you feel it from your head to your feet? Ever received such good news that ya can't seem to control the urge to do a little dance? Well, during devotion this morning I was reminded of the little children's movie "Happy Feet."  I just love how this cute little penguin couldn't walk around like everyone else, but had a little bounce to his steps that caused him to do a little tap dance; causing those close by to laugh at him; but no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't hide the tap in his steps. As long as he was sitting still he was fine; but once he started to walk; there it was- the bounce was there; that little dance was in his steps; he was just predestined to have 'happy feet'. I especially love the ending, because that little tap in his steps sent out a message and as others saw its value, they joined in his dance; making a powerful sound that saved all of them in their time of need.
In our times of need, I see in Isaiah's writings, another mention of feet that helps in time of need; The feet of those who spread good news!  Isaiah 52:7 tells us, "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!" We are reminded again in Romans 10:13-15, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!"  No greater need exists, no greater challenge is before us, no greater fulfillment awaits than that of spreading the gospel of peace, as commissioned by Christ Jesus before He ascended back into Heaven.
Countless souls are dying without the hope we have in Christ Jesus and His redeeming power that set us free; so why shouldn't we all be about the great commission; spreading the good news and leading others to the kingdom of God through Christ Jesus? How will they know of His great love without a messenger? We can be those happy feet spreading the gospel of Christ Jesus and His miraculous redeeming power that freed us from our sins and oppression and offer others the same hope to which we are all called in Him. We can use that little bounce in our steps, that amazing joy in our hearts, our personal testimony, and be those Happy Feet that can lead others to Christ Jesus and make our Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus smile. How about it; ya wanna make Him smile today?  Be happy and be blessed, dear friends. God loves you and so do I~~
